After winning season five of Bravo TV's Top Chef and wow-ing people across the world with his dishes, Hosea Rosenberg brings his talents to the forest - promising the ultimate food experience that you won't forget!
Chef Hosea Rosenberg
Hosea Rosenberg, originally from Taos, New Mexico, came to the realization that he wanted to become a professional chef while studying to become an astronomer. After graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Engineering Physics from the University of Colorado, Hosea decided it was time to turn what had been a side job into a dedicated career.
Hosea's passion to cook professionally drove him to work his way up through the restaurant ranks, where he worked under the guidance of established chefs such as Wolfgang Puck, Kevin Taylor, Sean Yontz and Dave Query. His hard work went on to land him his first chef position at Boulder's Dandelion Restaurant in 2001. Following his time at Dandelion, Hosea joined the Big Red F Restaurant Group where he worked as Sous Chef at Zolo Southwestern Grill. He then moved on to Jax Fish House to serve as Executive Chef from 2004 to 2010.
Since his tenure at Jax, Hosea has taken his culinary skills beyond the walls of a restaurant, expanding into a variety of food realms. In 2010 he joined forces with branding expert Laura Rice to launch StrEAT Chefs, a food truck concept that showcased global street food.
Most recently, Hosea launched Blackbelly Catering, a full service catering and events business that provides onsite operations from its mobile kitchen and catering trailer. The company draws from fresh, seasonal local ingredients, including naturally raised animals and fresh produce from Hosea's Blackbelly Farm, delivering innovative and custom designed cuisine that accommodates a variety of clientele ranging from corporate events to private residential dinners.
In addition to his role as a distinguished chef, Hosea serves as a culinary consultant for many large companies and has traveled the world showcasing his culinary skills. He also plans to open a Denver/Boulder-based restaurant within the coming year.
Hosea has won numerous awards and accolades over the course of his career including: Best Chef of Denver International Wine Festival; seven-time, undefeated winner of the Flatiron Chef Competition; Guest Chef at the James Beard House; and winner of season five of Bravo TV's Top Chef.
Live Painting by LEBO
For over 15 years LEBO has woven his unique blend of classically influenced cartoon narrative with emotionally charged abstract expressionism. A devoted draftsman for most of his life, his actual career in art started when he started infusing color into his compositions on the streets of Miami in the form of large scale, outdoor murals. These early murals proved to be the stepping stones that would lead to international art exhibitions, large scale public art installations, countless private and corporate commissions and eventually live painting, a genre in which he has helped pioneer for over a decade, alongside some of music's most notable figures. His philosophy is simple, "my purpose is to make art that inspires hope, encourages understanding and reflects harmony".
His live painting resume includes the Beastie Boys, Thievery Corporation, The Disco Biscuits, The Dead, String-Cheese Incident, Willy Nelson, Burning Spear, King Sunny Ade, Femi Kuti, The Sierra Leon Allstars, Bela Fleck, Les Claypool, The New Mastersounds, Umphrey's Mcgee, Maceo Parker and Pee-Wee Ellis.
