See The Magic Inspired by Electric Forest 2018 Plug In Programs
There are many ways to be involved in The Forest, from work to play and everywhere in between. The Plug In program offers opportunities to dive in through contests, artistic projects and so much more.
The 2018 Plug In programs offered the widest range of opportunities to add to the magic, and the Forest Family got involved deeper than ever.
THE WISH MACHINE
The 2018 Wish Machine challenged the Forest Family to venture out into the world and create positive action and good deeds. In return, The Forest was called upon to support and grant your wildest dreams at Electric Forest 2018.
In 2018, more than 5,000 wishes were submitted and the Forest Family did their part in making this planet a better place. From the USA and South America to Africa and Asia, a collective 4,500+ hours were volunteered, and over $75,000 was donated to community improvements and charities around the globe.
To support, The Forest rewarded the Forest Family with a variety of grants and experiences – on site activations, DJ sets, world-record-setting meetups, and more. As a true celebration for the success of the 2018 Wish Machine, all Wish Machine winners were invited to a private secret woodland set and guided meditation session led by GRiZ.
The Her Forest Plug In Program provides collaborative opportunities for women Forest-goers to connect and create with each other.
HER FOREST PANELS
During both weekends of Electric Forest 2018, the Her Forest Panels focused on the theme of being “Centered In Sisterhood” – a concentration on the ways that women have supported, or received support, from other women in their personal, professional, and creative lives.
HER FOREST CIRCLES
The Forest Family came together to uplift each other through practices that focused on tuning into the self in ways that amplify inner radiance – a gathering of souls that travelled together through meditation, movement, and conversation.
The Electricology Plug In Program at Electric Forest 2018 set a new standard of sustainable practices – a core value and principle shared by the Forest Family and Forest HQ.
In addition to EcoZones and EcoStores, Electricology and Prize Cart Remix Winners encouraged the Forest Family to continue the get down and clean up after special sets every night by distributing tens of thousands of trash and recycling bags, and rewarding clean Forest Family members with over ten thousand prizes.
TWLOHA BREAKING BARRIERS PROJECT
The Forest Family built a wall, and on it, set intentions for both weekends of Electric Forest 2018. The Forest Family recognized the words and symbols that create distance between us, and we broke the wall down TOGETHER.
“The hope was to create a living and evolving piece of art for the festival; a project where people could feel more connected, driven by a desire for authenticity.” – Chad Moses of TWLOHA
ART INSTALLATION SPONSORSHIPS
The 2018 Art Installation Sponsorship Plug In program offered the chance to bring dreams and visions – sparked by The Forest – to life.
The Brainery on Main Street invited the Forest Family to share knowledge with each other. From mindful relaxation, learning how to dance, and designing with arts & crafts, to jamming, pride parading, and discovering behind-the-scenes Forest magic, the Brainery offered a safe space to come together and learn from each other.
THE PERFORMER PLUG IN
Performers brimming with magic, imagination, emotion, and movement joined the Forest Family during both weekends of Electric Forest 2018 to showcase their talents and encourage self-expression to all.
$1 from every Electric Forest 2018 wristband purchased was donated to the Big Life Foundation – focusing on innovative conservation strategies and collaboration with local communities to protect and sustain East Africa’s wildlife and wildlands.
FOREST FOREVER SHERWOOD WEDDINGS
Forest Family officially tied the knot in The Chapel at Electric Forest 2018.
The Forest Family welcomed loving spirits back under the Sherwood Canopy.
