ART SPARK!

Often the most fantastical, beautiful, and impactful art begins with the tiniest spark of inspiration. Ever have an idea for an art installation in Sherwood Forest or beyond, but unsure how to make it come to life? The Art Spark! Plug In Program invites Forest Family to dream as big as possible and submit their ideas - no artistic, structural, or construction background needed – for the chance to collaborate with the Electric Forest Art Team to bring your idea to life!

Submit an idea to see your spark become a piece of Forest legend. Dream big, as your idea may even be selected as the Official Forest Centerpiece!

HQ seeks submissions of original ideas which are ideally:

• Aesthetically compelling day and night
• Durable and able to withstand weather including wind, rain, and dust
• Does not rely on sound amplification or audio reactivity
• Accompanied with a drawing or rendering [not required]
• Not based on pop culture or licensed intellectual property

AWARD

• Your idea built and executed by a professional team of artists, fabricators, and builders
• Public acknowledgement
• One (1) GA Wristband for Winner, one (1) GA Wristband for a guest and one (1) General Admission Vehicle Pass.
• An introduction into the world of Electric Forest art - providing a unique opportunity for exposure and collaboration

TIMELINE

Submissions will be accepted for review starting Friday, November 22, 2024, through Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 11:59 PM Eastern. Follow-up materials may be requested after that time. Winning projects will be selected in the Spring. NOTE: Submissions will be reviewed in the order they are received.

Judged on:

• 40% Concept
• 30% Appropriateness for event / program
• 20% Ease of execution
• 10% Interactivity

Including a video describing your inspiration, and showcasing your personality, project, and background with your application is highly encouraged.
