DEPARTMENT OF VISUAL CONSCIOUSNESS William Potvin
"Wander through a garden where nature reveals itself as art. A place where 'waste' regenerates into wonder. Relax, reflect, and rejoice in the garden of your dreams." Reincarnation Village is an installation sculpture garden and interactive environment constructed of natural, repurposed, and recycled materials. Designed for the original Electric Forest Festival by artist William “dalabil” Potvin, each year it is re-created and maintained by the art collective “Department of Visual Consciousness.” Spanning the entire length of the Forest, Reincarnation Village features several interactive structures, a giant nest, floral gardens, metal sculptures, spaces to relax, art galleries, live painting, and so much more…
The Department of Visual Consciousness is an art collective comprised of a vast crew of artists and educators who create large-scale art installations, environments, stages and visual imagery for festivals and events. They believe in employing recyclable and natural materials to educate on the benefits of reusability and the potential effects of consumerism.
